**A broad-based Board of Patrons is currently being assembled. The aim will be to invite dynamic, influential and well-known business and professional persons to make themselves available for an initial three-year period. The Board of Patrons will operate with management to encourage the broadening of support for the Donkey Sanctuary from leading personalities, corporate entities and appropriate organisations.

** The legal status of the Donkey Sanctuary as a not-for-profit Public Benefit Organisation will be formalised.

**As the current interim premises are totally inadequate, a priority will be to secure a new home for the Donkey Sanctuary for a five to ten-year period. This could be by means of an outright purchase or by rental. A model that will  be explored would be for a Patron or supporter to purchase the property and to sub-lease to the Donkey Sanctuary.
