A song for the donkeys at Eseltjiesrus
We are delighted to present the song ‘Donkiehemel’ (Donkey Heaven) composed and performed by our patron David Kramer and gifted to the Sanctuary. This song and music video, with English subtitles, poignantly depicts the plight of working donkeys and the refuge offered by Eseltjiesrus.
You can watch the music video at: https://youtu.be/hlPVLD62YfY
Every donation helps us to improve the facilities, expand our support and rehabilitation of donkeys elsewhere and work towards a more caring culture in our society.
What we do at the Sanctuary
First and foremost we provide a permanent home and loving care to destitute, rescued donkeys. Over the years we have cared for numerous donkeys at the Sanctuary and rehomed many others to homes in the Western Cape.
